Biography:
Prof. Dr. Yingxu Wang is professor of cognitive systems, brain science, software science, and intelligent mathematics. He is the founding President of International Institute of Cognitive Informatics and Cognitive Computing (I2CICC). He is FIEEE, FBCS, FI2CICC, FAAIA, and FWIF. He has held visiting professor positions at Univ. of Oxford (1995, 2018-2022), Stanford Univ. (2008, 2016), UC Berkeley (2008), MIT (2012), and a distinguished visiting professor at Tsinghua Univ. (2019-2022). He has been a full professor since 1994. He is the founder and steering committee chair of IEEE Int'l Conference Series on Cognitive Informatics and Cognitive Computing (ICCI*CC) since 2002. He is founding Editor-in-Chiefs and Associate Editors of 10+ Int'l Journals and IEEE Transactions. He is Chair of IEEE SMCS TC-BCS on Brain-inspired Cognitive Systems, and Co-Chair of IEEE CS TC-CLS on Computational Life Science.,His basic research has spanned across contemporary scientific disciplines of intelligence, mathematics, knowledge, robotics, computer, information, brain, cognition, software, data, systems, cybernetics, neurology, and linguistics. He has published 600+ peer reviewed papers and 38+ books/proceedings. He has presented 65+ invited keynote speeches in international conferences. He has served as honorary, general, and program chairs for 40+ international conferences. He has led 10+ international, European, and Canadian research projects as PI. He is recognized by Google Scholar as world top 1 in Software Science, top 1 in Cognitive Robots, top 8 in Autonomous Systems, top 2 in Cognitive Computing, and top 1 in Knowledge Science with an h-index 67. He is recognized by ResearchGate as among the world's top 1.0% scholars in general and in several contemporary fields encompassing artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, theoretical computer science, engineering mathematics, software engineering, cognitive science, information science, and computational linguistics. He has published formal proofs for two of the world's top ten hardest mathematical problems known as the Goldbach conjecture and Twin-Prime conjecture in 2022.
Prof. Shugen Ma

Biography:
Prof. Shugen Ma (IEEE Fellow, AAIA Fellow, JSME Fellow) received a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Before he joined HKUST (GZ), he was a professor at Ritsumeikan University (Japan) and a visiting professor at John Hopkins University, Shenyang Institute of Automation of CAS, Tianjin University, and Harbin Institute of Technology, respectively. He has published 520+ papers in major journals and conference proceedings, developed 50+ novel robot systems with 80+ patents, and supervised 44 doctoral students to graduation. Prof. Ma’s research interests include but are not limited to the design and control of environment-adaptive robots, amphibious robots, field robotics, and biologically inspired robotics. Prof. Ma is the general chair of IROS 2022 (a top robotics conference), founded the ROBIO conference in 2004, and served as the general chair of ROBIO 2004, ROBIO 2010, and ROBIO 2016. He has also been featured in the list of the world’s top 2% of scientists published by Stanford University.
Prof. LING Tok Wang

Biography:
Dr LING Tok Wang is an emeritus professor of the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing at the National University of Singapore since 1 July 2021.He was the Head of IT Division, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Systems and Computer Science, and Vice Dean of the School of Computing of the University. Before joining the University as a lecturer in 1979, he was a scientific staff at Bell Northern Research, Ottawa, Canada. He received his Ph.D. and M.Math., both in Computer Science, from University of Waterloo (Canada) and B.Sc.(1st class Hons) in Mathematics from Nanyang University (Singapore). His research interests include Data Modeling, Entity-Relationship Approach, Object-Oriented Data Model, Normalization Theory, Logic and Database, Integrity Constraint Checking, Semi-Structured Data Model, XML Twig Pattern Query Processing, ORA-semantics based XML and Relational Database Keyword Query Processing. He has published more than 230 international journal/conference papers and chapters in books, all in database research areas. He also co-edited 13 conference and workshop proceedings, co-authored one book, and edited one book.
Prof. Ming Xie

Dr. MingXie received the B.Eng degree in control and automation engineering from East-China Institute of Textile Technology (now, Donghua University, Shanghai, China). Subsequently, under the nation's prestigious overseas scholarship of Chinese government, he has completed the postgraduate studies and doctorate research works, and has received the Master degree from the University of Valenciennes (France) in 1986 as well as the PhD degree from the University of Rennes (France) in 1989. Since 1986, he has worked as Research Assistant at IRISA-INRIA Rennes, Expert Engineer at INRIA Sophia-Antipolis, Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor of Nanyang Technological University, Fellow of Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA) (Affiliated with Innovation in Manufacturing Systems and Technology Program), Guest Professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (2002, 2006), Professor awarded by China's Jiangsu Provincial Government (2014), and Dean of College of Electrical Engineering and Control Science at Nanjing Tech University (2014-2016). He was the General Chair of 2007 International Conference on Climbing and Walking Robots (CLAWAR), the General Chair of 2009 International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Applications (ICIRA), the Co-founder of the International Journal of Humanoid Robotics (SCI/SCIE indexed), Co-founder of Singapore-China Association for Advancement of Science and Technology, Co-founder of Robotics Society of Singapore. He has taught the courses such as Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Machine Vision, Measurement and Sensing Systems, Microprocessor Systems, and University Physics. In terms of scientific research, he has authored three books in English, two books in Chinese, two edited books in English, several book chapters, over 10 patents of invention, over 40 research papers in scientific journals and over 100 research papers in international conferences. He was the recipient of one best conference paper award from World Automation Congress, the recipient of one best conference paper award from CLAWAR, the recipient of one outstanding paper award from International Journal of Industrial Robot, the recipient of one Gold Prize (S$8K) from CrayQuest, the recipient of one Grand Champion Prize (S$15K) from CrayQuest, the recipient of one A-Star's Best Research Idea Prize (S$5K), the recipient of one Silver Medal from Dragon Design Foundation.
